Profile

Luxury edge with an activist pulse.

Tanvir Mahidy is an internationally recognised Bangladeshi fashion designer based in Manchester, UK. With more than 12 years of experience across high-street fashion, denim innovation, sustainable design, film costume, and advertising, his work sits between commercial intelligence and expressive runway craft.

His AW26 sustainable denim collection at London Fashion Week transformed factory off-cuts, deadstock, and worn denim language into layered silhouettes that speak about waste, water, memory, and imperfection.

Creative vision

Construction as narrative. Waste as material. Denim as cultural memory.

At the centre of Tanvir's work is the tension between polish and fracture. Exposed seams, asymmetric panels, raw edges, layered collars, translucent surfaces, and patched denim become a design language for repair and resilience.

The palette moves from deep indigo and graphite to porcelain white, mineral teal, tobacco brown, and muted metallics, balancing runway drama with a disciplined material intelligence.
